Thankfully, this Rabbit Air air purifier is anything but bulky. It reminds me of Apple products—sleek, white, and subtle with a clean look that seamlessly blends in versus hideously standing out. The second and perhaps most important feature that attracted me to this model was its odor elimination claims. The Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier has high-quality HEPA filters with four purification and deodorization stages, including the washable pre-filter, the BioGS HEPA filter, and the charcoal-based activated carbon filter. Of course, that’s all marketing jargon unless these filters actually work. Spoiler alert: They do—and I have a clean-smelling closet to prove it. Before we used the air purifier, my closet smelled like a blend of a musty old house and stale clothes that had been sitting in a moving box way too long. I didn’t expect the purifier to remove the smell effectively, but I figured I should try. After about two hours with the air purifier on high, I came back in to find an almost perfectly fresh-smelling closet. I couldn’t believe it. It’s almost like having an air-purifying robot that thinks, acts, and cleans on its own. The two downsides I experienced with the Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier are cost and size. It’s in the middle range of air-purifier prices—some are less expensive, and some more—but $399 is still an investment, especially when you’re trying to save money. And, while the design itself is sleek and minimalistic, this air purifier is big. It’s almost the size of a hotel-room mini refrigerator, which means it’s hard to blend into small spaces. For example, it would have been a bit tricky to disguise in our old one-bedroom apartment. Despite its size, it went above and beyond our expectations, and earned a permanent spot in our bedroom.
Is it noisy?
While the Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier is not silent, it is barely audible at the lowest speed. The fan ranges from 22.8 to 50.4 weighted decibels. I keep it on auto throughout the day. It usually runs at the lowest levels—usually level one or two fan speeds. I enjoy the soft, subtle white noise of the fan, especially while I’m falling asleep.
How long does it take to clean a room?
The Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier filters the air in a room up to 625 square feet twice per hour when used at the highest setting. I noticed a change in the smell of my closet within an hour.
How often do you replace the filters?
The pre-filter, which filters dust mites and large particles, is permanent and washable. The HEPA filter, built to manage pet hair, dust particles, bacteria, and pollen, will last three years if used for 12 hours a day. The Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier comes with a small remote control, where you can manage fan speed, set auto mode, use the sleep timer, or introduce negative ions. The remote neatly fits in the back of the air purifier.

The BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier (SPA-625.A) is one of Rabbit Air’s flagship products. They also have the SPA-550A model for smaller rooms (550 square feet, versus 625 square feet with the 625-A) and the Minus A2 Ultra Quiet Air Purifier. The Minus A2 is sleeker and more powerful than the BioGS 2.0; it boasts a six-stage filtration system, with the addition of a medium filter and a customized filter based on each customer’s needs. It also covers more space—up to 815 square feet—with an even more minimalistic aesthetic. It’s roughly the size of a computer monitor and is mountable (while the BioGS 2.0 sits on the floor.) The Minus A2 is pricier, costing about $550. In a fresh, newly built home, you may not need the air purifier, but if your home is old, you suffer from allergies, or you have smells you want to get rid of, and you have space, the BioGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier will get the job done.
